Americana
This is what I wore on Election day! (A little late, I know.) Now, IDK about the rest of you, but Southerners like to do THEMES. My theme was Americana. If my khaki pants had back pockets I'd have stuck a bandana in there ala Springsteen! Instead I wore a red henley under a chambray shirt and I cuffed the sleeves, khaki cords and my Converse All Stars. I accessorised with a red, white and blue beaded star necklace made for me by my lovely daughter, London, for the 2008 election, a gold chain, some bangles and some simple hoops. I also wore blue eyeshadow and red lipstick. Patriotic, right? Here's my election day look:
Iphone pics again courtesy of Roger. I had to work :( I think overall I achieved my Americana theme. I also had my trusty Coach tote with me, but I think we've seen enough pictures of that lol.

*When I mention Facebook yardsale, I am talking about a group created for my area where we all buy, sell and trade items, kind of like a yardsale combined with Craigslist. You probably have one on your area. It's fair and free, just search your local groups and ask to join.

Hi Ash!
Thank you for all the love on The Daileigh. I love a good ole' chambray shirt -- they go with everything!
XO,
Ashleigh
Thanks! I think it was like, $5.99. It has blue undertones, so it's good for super pale skin.

Thanks Amy! I tried for Patriotic without wearing a costume. I think it worked!

Thanks Ashleigh! I adore your blog. I wish I lived somewhere that I could dress a fab as you. I get stared at for wearing leopard here! (land of jeans, sneakers, and hoodies.)

This is a good outfit for election day. I couldnt even dress up since I work in an office. It's suits all day :( I feel like I wouldnt know how to pull off a red white and blue outfit. I love your chambray shirt esp. I want to own like 10 pieces of chambray but only settled for 2.

I work in an office too, but it has a relaxed dress code. This outfit passes lol. Plus, I'm a manager, so oh well!
I want a million chambray shirts, dark wash, light wash, polka dotted. I had a chambray shirt that had the
American flag acid washed onto it. It was SO Bruce Springsteen but everyone I knew hated it. I finally stopped wearing it and turned it into a purse :( I really wish I hadn't. Sometimes you have to tune out the haters!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I will stop by your blog as well!
