I found this polka dot button up skirt at Goodwill on half off day and thought it was just the skirt I need. Midi-length, fun print, basic color I can work with, plus the buttons! I could see this in it's 90s heyday worn to church or something but I had an update for it that would be a little more fun!
I paired it with this teal knit shirt, my denim jacket, open toe flats and my coral bag for a pop of color. I also added my multi-chain BR necklace from the Gap outlet.
Initially I had my shirt tucked in and added a brown braided belt BUT with my cropped jacket the overall effect made me look...stumpy. Un-tucking my shirt added a longer line to draw the eye down.
I like it. I even like it with the un-tucked top. I feel like I'm channeling my inner boho.
What do you think? Would you add or omit anything or is it just fine as is? I kind of love it. Oh, and it was SUPER comfy to boot!

I love it! That skirt is so beautiful and I love how the wind is catching it in some of these pictures. I also love the pop of color your bag adds!
Thanks Kacie! It reminded me of you when I bought it actually. You are always rocking fabulous maxi skirts!

Thanks Angela! I have worn that jacket so many times the last couple of weeks it's unreal. It fits better every time I wash it!
Thank you so much Celyn! I couldn't find a brand name on it but my guess is it's from the 90s.
This skirt is SO cute. I would seriously be wearing it all the time. My favorite polka dot skirt was also thrifted from Goodwill and it is the best!
I actually based this skirt off one of yours! You have a midi skirt, light colored, that has buttons all the way down? I LOVE it and wanted a skirt with buttons too, so this is my version!
No way!? That is so cool!!!! :) Well you will not be disappointed! I swear if I could wear that skirt every day and not be judged I would ;) My boss might wonder if I do my laundry and question why he hired me if I did that though haha!
Tell him it's a totally different skirt. He won't notice, he's a guy!
Haha, very true ;) If the snow melts today, I am wearing it tomorrow!
I am loving the long skirt...that is a look I'd love to try!
Thanks Tara! I was a bit cold but I was super comfortable all day long!
Yes! I hope Spring hurries up for you up there!
I love your skirt! Now I want a long skirt to wear:)
Thanks Carissa! I keep buying them. When they're $3.99 and 1/2 off...How can I not? I just wish I could wear it to work!

Ah man, I want a long skirt to wear, too!
Thanks Ramona! I forgot to get a good pic of that bracelet. You're the only one who noticed! It actually was made of all these clear stones and was quite boring till I painted it with Cover Girls's Outlast nail polish in Mint Mojito and Sinful colors polish in lagoon. Now it's a statement piece!
adorable!!
