HI!

HI!
Hi, I'm Ashleigh! Just call me Ash. I'm a frugal fashionista with a very relaxed dress code, so I am all about "real wear" #ootd's. Come see how you can dress chic on the cheap, and maybe hear a bit about my day-to-day life, my kids, Lou and Logo, also my cat Zoey and my dog Parker! Thanks for stopping by!

Casual Polka Dots

I wore this to get my hair trimmed at my Sister-In-Law's house and pick my kids up from their various after school activities.

Please excuse my awkward posing. My dog was barking and the sun was super bright. #bloggerproblems.

Lip Stain is Hot Pink by Jordana. I highly recommend it. Super moisturizing and very pigmented!

Let's talk about pants for a minute. I own these pants, my other flared pants, and a pair of Old Navy skinnies that are now so baggy I call them boyfriend jeans. I am down almost 3 sizes. I can fit in a 10, but I think they're a bit tight, and there are never cute size 12 jeans at the thrift store. I am still losing (a medical issue) so I don't want to pay full price for jeans. If anyone sees any jeans for like, $10 then send me a message. I need them! On the other side, I'm loving this hour glass figure that's emerging! So, Thank-You Gall Bladder. At least you are doing something besides terrorizing me with pain worse than natural child birth.

Cardigan: thrifted via Goodwill (by a brand called take out, never heard of them but I love 100% cotton!)
Cami: Dots
Jeans: American Eagle
Glitter Loafers: Target
Gold and Pearl Layered Necklace: Vintage/Gift from Roger's Grandma
Bracelet: Disney

I'd wear this to work, except I wear a uniform :(

The title says it all. Being able to dress freely is the only thing I miss about my old job. I love my current job but the all-black dress code eats aways at my fashion-loving heart.

The Ikat print pants with the lace shirt and gold glitter loafers is exactly my business casual style. Actually, it has all the elements you need to make a great outfit. Texture (lace), print (Ikat pants), shine (glitter flats, also an other texture!) and something that ties everything together, which are my awesome Phillip Lim for Target bag and my necklace.

P.S. I love my shorter hair. It doesn't seem like it sheds as much, and I think it makes me look younger (not a bad thing!)
Necklace: Amazon.com
Cami: Came under another lace shirt that is now gone.
Lace Top: Forever 21
Ikat Slacks: Thrifted, nwt via Goodwill

Urban Luxe Galm

This look was styled completely around this hat and necklace. I received some GREAT tips the other day working valet, and splurged on this giant crystal (glass?) necklace from Target. I don't usually spend $30 on one item...thrifter..hello...Do you know how much $30 buys at Goodwill? But since I wasn't expecting the extra cash and I REALLY wanted the necklace I went for it. I also bought this plain black beanie. I've been wearing both non-stop since.
I decided to go for a street look with luxurious accessories. Another great example of accessories setting the tone of an outfit.  I got this Dewey's Pizza tee-shirt in a swag bag from a music festival in Cincinnati. I added my boyfriend jeans, moto boots, black beanie, crystal necklace, bangle, and Chanel bag to create this awesome street-chic ensemble. I was a bit inspired by Nancy of Adore to Adorn. Her street chic looks are totally urban and awesome. I bought this beanie because I like them on her so much!

*Rolling my eyes at Mom.
Lipstick is "Stoplight Red" by Wet N' Wild from the Fergie Collection.

Beanie: Target
Necklace: Target
Tee: Free!
Boyfriend Jeans: Old Navy
Moto Boots: Selena Gomez for Kmart. I think I said these were from Dots last time. They aren't.
Bangle: Burlington Coat Factory/DIY Nail Polish
Bag: Chanel/Thrifted via an estate sale

Under Construction/Happy Birthday Stylized Wannabe

Happy Birthday to me! Well, to the blog. Stylized Wannabe is now officially a year old! In celebration of this milestone I will be hosting a giveaway AND I've gotten a new blog design. I'm terrible with HTML so it's been trial and error (and may I add that I was give detailed, step by step instructions included with the purchase of my design and I STILL can't do it.) If anyone has any insight feel free to email me!

Moving on, I would like to host a giveaway. I love you all and love that you stop by my corner of the internet every week to see what I'm up to. What would you like to see me give away? Last time I bought some beautiful silver and tumbled jade earrings. This time I was thinking a necklace, but I decided to let you guys pick! Your options are:

A Target Gift Card
A Piece of Artisan Jewelry
A Visa Gift Card
Signed 8x10 photo of me (just kidding on this one!)
Just leave me a comment and tell me what you would like to win and I'll set it up!
Thanks Everyone!

It's all in the accessories

With this outfit, it's all about my accessories that set the tone. On their own, my jeans, sweater, and sleeveless cardigan would be your average fall attire. With the floppy hat, necklace, and boots, ya'll are picking up that slight boho vibe that I'm putting down. The bag is just the bag I'm currently carrying. Amethyst eyeliner add a smidgen more of the fall tone and I'm set!

I also got my hair cut! Five inches. Whew! You can't see my bangs here but I also now have side swept bangs!

My lovely blogger buddy, the always chic, bohemian/indian princess Kacie Cone definitely inspired this look. She has similar (and much more expensive lol) accessories in her wardrobe that just made me fall in love. Mine are from Target mostly.

Hat: Target
Top: Loft, thrifted via Goodwill
Sleeveless Cardi: Land's End, thrifted via Goodwill (it comes with a detachable fur collar.)

Thrifting Unicorn + My 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Bag

Back in August I came across some simple bronze heels at Goodwill. They had an elastic ankle strap and were from Old Navy. $12, kinda a lot for Goodwill shoes. Plus, My left foot always hurts so when I tried one on it just THROBBED. So, though I really wanted them, the pros out weighed the cons and I passed them up.
I couldn't stop thinking about those shoes! I'm sure that's happened to ya'll shopping, but thrifting is worse because you don't know if it will be there when you go back. I went back the NEXT DAY after thinking about them all night. They were gone.
I kept thinking about them.
Last week I made some great tips when I filled in for the valet at the hotel and I decided a trip to Goodwill was in order. Not only did I FINALLY find the perfect denim vest after looking for months, but guess what was back?
THE SHOES.
You have to understand. This does NOT happened. IDK if someone bought them and re-donated them or if they were just hidden, but I've been back to that Goodwill at least four times and never seen them.
They are MINE!
And I realize why they were donated. They are painful. I don't care. Shut up feet, YOLO and I needed these shoes!

So. I also got a 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target bag. Mine's a bit different than yours though. I saw all the other bloggers with their totes-you know the one with the zippers down the side? It was still there, but it was WAY HUGE. I'd stuff it full and break my bag. They were out of the mini cross-body totes, and then they had this one, last one left of it's kind. It's like a doctor's bag with one long zipper all the way across and a super long strap so you can pack it over your shoulder. It's still kind of big but the shape is awesome. My only complaint is that I wish it had two zips that met in the middle. When I need something I have to open the whole bag.

You can tell I love this ensemble, I took a million pics! If I remove the vest and add a cardigan or blazer, it becomes perfect for the office! If I switch out the heels for flat brown boots and my convertible back pack and a beanie, perfect for the apple orchard! Add a black leather jacket, black strappy sandals and a sparkly clutch and it's perfect for going out! Truly versatile, especially for a knit teal pencil skirt and a purple Hanes tee.

Vest: Levi's, thrifted via Goodwill
Tee-Shirt: Hanes, Walmart
Knit Pencil Skirt: Jessica Simpson, thrifted via Goodwill
Heels: Old Navy, thrifted via Goodwill
Necklace: Merona, thrifted via Goodwill
Bangle: Dots
Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

*I just realized this is the 2nd pencil skirt/denim combo I've done recently. I think I have an obsession.
