Hippie Vest
I love nude colored lace/crocheted vests. I have four of them. This one has fringe and makes me feel like a hippe in the 70s. I wore boot cut jeans instead of flared jeans so I wasn't giving off a costume-y vibe as I was also wearing patterned wedges with it.
I paired the crotcheted vest with my plum colored gap thermal, Old Navy "Dreamer" boot cut jeans, my thrifted printed wedges, a statement necklace, cuff, and my Street Level Satchel. I haven't used it in FOREVER!
I love the bright teal necklace against this plum shirt.
I promise my eyes aren't closed. I'm not sleeping. It's just time for new glasses.
I think these shoes are groovy, baby. Yeah. (please someone get that reference!)
Another necklace from Amazon. i wish they'd stop suggesting things for me. They know what I want and like before I do!
I missed this bag.
And there's my bangle.
I also have freshly highlighted and trimmed locks as well as groomed eyebrows. I feel like a human again!

I seriously thought no one else would get that. Sometimes blogging makes me feel so OLD lol. Thank you Marie!
Awww Ashleigh I AM IN LOVE with this outfit! So cute! The hippie vest is amazing ;) And love this color on you! Plus another pop of color with the necklace, yes and yes!
Yeah... casual Friday can also be too casual here. I think that also makes it difficult for me... a lot of the guys wear sports jerseys, which is okay I guess. Our departments really vary in what people wear and at my old job everyone was more cohesive so I didn't struggle as much. I guess I wear what I want but I try to still look nice but not too overdressed on casual Friday.
Also, I must say I HATE when you feel like you stick out like a sore thumb because you wear a pair of heels, what the heck? You live in Kansas right? One of my best friends lives in Wichita and she has the same problem. When she wears heels people at work ask her why she's so dressed up and what she's doing after work and she simply responds "I like wearing heels and I'm just working" HAHA!
Kentucky which is probably even worse than Kansas. My GM wears flat, vegan support clogs and my co-workers all wear flats. When we went through major staff changes we got in a way younger crowd. While my co-worker dresses up, she doesn't do heels (she's 5'11.) I get the same questions! I have 80 pairs of shoes in my closet, I want to wear tall ones today. Why is that not okay?!
Right?!? Well keeping rocking the heels! :) Those beautiful pairs of shoes deserve to be worn :)
Exactly!
Hi Ashleigh! My friend got me the JCrew knock off bracelet from this boutique: http://www.facebook.com/IzzaraBoutique ... I think it was a one day deal special though through Very Jane (http://veryjane.com/) So I have no idea how much it is now, but I think it was only $20! Hopefully this helps :) And I agree... the bracelet was WAY out of my price range otherwise, she got the real JCrew one for xmas and I was completely jealous haha but then she was super awesome and got the look a like for my bday!
It's super pretty. My b-day is in 17 days so this is totally on my list!
Thank You so much!
Lovely vest!
