Channeling my inner someone
So, so happy with this look, but something kept nagging me. Did I subconsciously copy a look I'd seen on another blog? nope. I figured it out. I am dressed like my 3rd grade teacher! She always wore breezy skirts and flowy things with her glasses and bun. If I had left my hair down I think I'd have felt differently. I still love this outfit!
I paired this thrifted (new with tags) Merona tank over a black cami and this long, brightly colored skirt that I recently thrifted with a black cardigan, leopard belt, zebra flats, and a purple envelope clutch. I think I may have to add glitter to that clutch though. It's pretty boring!
I also wore my orange bauble necklace. It ended up tying the whole look together!
I unintentionally paired the leopard belt and zebra flats. I thought I grabbed my black belt! It's okay though. you mostly just see the flats because the belt is tiny and is lost in the pattern of the skirt.
IS there too much going on or is it JUST right?

I freaking love the skirt and want to borrow it!!!the shoes are cute but you know how i am bout mixing patterns...LOL...coulda done without the belt!!!
LOVE! That skirt is to die for and I love the way the light catches it in these pictures! I would have made picked a warmer colored shoe, like maybe if it was a faded zebra! I think it looks great though!
I LOVE this skirt! So pretty Ashleigh. And these photos are amazing! I think it is just right, I love the play of patterns and colors, it all works together!
Thanks Mom
ME too. The shoes were an after thought because my pink glittery ones were missing!
Thanks. I really like these pics too. Roger did a great job.
I love this outfit! And I'm always impressed by your thrifting abilities. Those colors are beautiful on you!
Thanks! I think without the cardi and belt and bun I'll look less Miss Frizzle and more hippie-chic!
This print is perfect!

Thank you! I really love it.
I feel like it's a little matronly, but when it's warmer and without the cardigan and bun it will look more fun.
Very colorful. I love it!! That skirt is killer!! You can remix it a dozen ways. Love the way you put it all together.
Thanks Shelly!
third grade teachers can be very fashioable, too! i love the flowy skirt on you!
LOL thank you. I look like Miss Frizzle from the Magic School Bus. In a good way though, in a good way.

Ash you look amazing! I love this look. You have mixed and matched everything so lovely. I think bun is more sophisticated. If I could pull it off as well I would wear it.

Thanks Tara! I love it too.
I love the texture in the tank. It's my favorite part.
Thanks Annie! I loved the colors in it. I've been trying to buy colors that are out of my comfort zone and get into brights. My wardrobe was strictly black, white, and gray plus pink before blogging!
I love my bun. I just thought with the skirt that is was a little mature.
I love your outfit! The colors are simply beautiful! Your skirt, I absolutely love it too:)
