Style My Christmas (I need a little help)
Hello loves! I have a little dilemma. I know I want to wear my Love Alana Designs champagne sequin maxi skirt
for my MIL's annual Christmas Eve party. However, I'm at a loss on how to style it. I've worn it once to a play and I went edgy, wearing it with a faux-leather tee and open-toe booties and a chunky chain necklace. I don't think faux leather is very Christmas-y, so help me style this! What would YOU pair it with? I need a top and shoe options, and perhaps scarf or necklaces or any other accessory you can think of. I am already going overboard with just the skirt, as most of the other attendees wear nice tops with jeans or sweater dresses and leggings. I don't want to be super over-the-top but all suggestions are welcome. (Links to things are especially welcome!)
Thanks so much!
Love,
Ash

It's so pretty! I have a similar dilemma for NYE (a silver/black sequin mini skirt), but I think I'm just going to wear a plain top. I don't wear a lot of jewelry, but if you pair it with a plain top, maybe you could go with a similar colored necklace?
I wpuld wear it two ways: with a black lace top and necklace with a red lip or with a black log sleeve plain crop top with a necklace or maybe statement earrings...

Wow, it is a gorgeous skirt!! I would struggle with how to style it too, but I'd definitely keep it to black on top.
I actually just did a quick search on Pinterest for "sequin maxi skirt" and there's a lot of great inspiration there!

Something About That
I would wear it with a black button down! Since the skirt is so bold, I would keep jewelry dainty pieces! Can't wait to see what you end up with!

Check out my post on holiday skirts. I wore my skirt with black lace.

I think you should pair it with a knit sweater! Or chambray...you can never go wrong with chambray! And top it off with a sparkly necklace :)

I love the idea of a chambray and a super sparkly statement necklace that Kacie mentioned!
Is it too late for me to chime in? If you haven't already had your Christmas party....my thoughts is to wear it with a blush colored top such as a blouse or lace top. It will make the gold really pop.
