Ladylike
I thrifted this LC Lauren Conrad festive cardigan the other day because the detail on the shoulder was just so pretty to me. It's actually missing all the closures, but I don't care. It looks great worn open. The pearls and bows made me feel very ladylike, so I added this thrifted lace top, my pearl necklace, and these gold scroll earrings to echo that proper/ladylike tone. I didn't want to be TOO fussy and frilly, so I choose my polka dot jeans for a whimsical touch and then my slouchy boots and heavy Melie Bianco bag for a slightly rugged, masculine appeal that I believe balanced out the upper half's girlieness. It sounds like a lot of thought went into this outfit but I picked it all out in about 5 minutes, excluding the debate on necklaces.
I also decided to try an "arm party." I know everyone else does it but I'm just not a bracelet person, though I have many. I like bangles, but that's about it. WHY do you pile all these on your arms ladies? I know what you're doing. The minute you have to sit down to work, say on your computer at work, you take the arm party off because it drives you nuts trying to type with it on. Admit it!
I quite like this outfit and will be wearing it again. If I changed out my jeans for my brown slacks and maybe some leopard loafers this would be totally office appropriate. Or you could add a pencil skirt for the office, maybe a pink one for a pop of color. Perhaps a full or a-line skirt in a fun floral for brunch. There are a myriad of possibilities!

What a pretty cardigan on you! I like all the ruffly baubly details!
While I like the look of piled on bracelets, they are totally impractical and I can only ever wear 2-3 tops together. Otherwise it gets annoying! And I try to stay away from bangles, they clink and clang together too much.
This is so cute, I'm so loving that top! This would also much a really great holiday outfit if you swapped out the jeans for like a nice skirt! I actually really love the sound of my bangles banging around when I type, not sure why but it makes me feel good!
so cute!! love that bag :) xx
I love how the polka dot jeans add a fun touch to this look! Great styling!

what a pretty cardigan! I never button my cardigans, so I wouldn't have minded about the closures, either.
I took all of mine off except for one. I was like, nope, ain't happening!
I like jingly bangles too! I just don't like them against the keyboard. Silly right?
Thank you! Yard sale, and for $15.00 too.
Thanks Kacie! I hope you win!
I was going to sew new ones on but I really like it plain and open.
I cannot believe you thrifted that cardigan, and its Lauren Conrad. The brown shades look great with the boots and handbag. You are looking beautiful.

I love those pants - I almost bought some just like them this morning!

I love these! When I first bought them I bought them a bit too small. They looked awful! But now that they fit I'm in love. They're not technically jeans. They're a jeggings I believe. They are denim but REALLY stretchy!
love those jeans, totally cute!
Love those jeans on you! :)

I am LOVING those jeans!! You look so cute. I feel your pain with the arm party. I'm crossing my fingers Tyler gets me a watch for Christmas or my birthday because I feel like those help to keep things from moving around. All I know is that if I wear more than 2 bracelets right now they drive me crazy working on the computer all day!

Your cardigan is absolutely adorable!
Exactly! Maybe a watch would help. I'll try that.
Thank you Angela! I live that bow/pearl thing.
Thank you! They're technically jeggings
I like it so much but I stuff everything in it because it is so big. I lost the lock on it though :(
Thanks Tara! I'm thinking of wearing it with a red top for Christmas.
I really love the sweater esp the detail, the shirt is cute too...LOVE the purse!

Such a cute cardigan! I noticed the beautiful detailing on the shoulder right away! I personally wear all my cardigans open so if it is missing the closures no big deal. The lace top is perfect with it! Great look!

I love your Lauren Conrad cardigan. The detail on it is so pretty. I also really love your polka dot jeans. I have been wanting a pair for a while but just haven't found the right pair for me yet.

Cute! I like the mix of edge and girl. Love the polka dot pants too. You look fabulous.
Thank you! That's what I was going for. I could still run after the kids, but I looked feminine at the same time. You totally get it.
Well they are darn cute, the polka dots are adorable!

That's why I bought it! I'm a sucker for a bow.
Thank you Bree! You are adorable.
I love Melia Bianco bags. Plus, the lining is ALWAYS polka dots!
Thank you!
I want a pair that's more boyfriend style too. These are like a jegging. I like them but sometimes I want that more relaxed feel. I know if you take a clorox pen you can do it in like two hours to a pair of pants you already love!
I may replace the buttons in the future but I love it open too!
Thank you Kelly! I love polka dots. My Mom/photographer was NOT a fan lol.
I know! Why would anyone get rid of it? She makes great clothes.
Thank you Michele!
