Big Blog Plans!
Hello all! On my break, I have been contemplating The Stylized Wannabe. Where do I want my little hobby to go? I've talked about direction and balance before, but this is more about growth. I like the content I post. I'm going to stick with my fashion posts, beauty reviews (I actually have a bunch unedited that I need to post) thrift store hauls will be back. I'll have MORE content, I've just had no time this summer :(
After my recovery I'm going to move the blog forward. It's not about getting sponsors or trying to make money. I want to reach a bigger audience to show them you can dress great on a shoestring budget. Through thrifting and aggressive sales shopping you can be work-appropriate, kid-friendly, ready for girls night out, whatever, and not spend everything you earn. I'm going to feature $20 and under outfits, and do a closet restyle challenge. Big plans! But mostly, I want to grow.
I'm going to invest more time and my actual, hard-earned dollars into The Stylized Wannabe. Because I BELIEVE in it. I don't want blogging to become my job, I still want to enjoy it. As I said above I just want to reach more people. I'm going to advertise on some of my favorite bigger blogs and host give-aways on them. That's how I've found most of my favorite blogs! I think I'll be more satisfied reaching more people. When people comment and say "I can't believe you got that at so-an-so place!" It makes me so happy, and the best part is they can get great stuff for cheap too! I want to be able to influence the fashion community to spend less and look their best!
Do you have any tips for growth? Let me know. My readers are all writers. I know you guys know your stuff! Tell me in the comments.

Sounds like awesome plans! So inspiring too! I wish I had tips for growth lol I'm still learning myself!
Sort of on-subject Rachel's lookbook had some great tips for bloggers: http://rachelslookbook.com/seo-tips-for-bloggers/
and

She's great! I want my blog to be like that someday.
I'll do a giveaway with you and fennofashion.com. I'd love to see how you'd style my jewelry :) Let me know!
That would be awesome! You make great jewelry.
yay can't wait to see you grow!!!
xo,
Angela
This post made me so happy! I'd love to see your blog grow.
I'd share tips, but I'm not really sure how you grow a blog, and that's something I want to learn how to do with mine. I'm hoping that you can share some tips too. Like, other than being a good blog, why is it that some people have so many followers so quickly?

Thanks Angela!
Reading and commenting other blogs is key I think. I follow quite a few, and always leave feedback. I try to give meaningful feedback instead of just saying "cute shoes!" This way, people may notice what you have to say and think hmmm, I should check out her blog she sounds like she knows what she's talking about! I know other bloggers advertise on each others pages as well. That is something I am looking into.
YAY! I'm so glad you want to invest more time and resources into your blog :) I love your outfits and especially since they are all on a budget! :) I don't have any great suggestions. I have been slowly growing for almost two years. I am also thinking about advertising on bigger blogs to get more exposure, but it also seems like a weird concept to me :) I wish I had some more tips! But consistent posting usually leads to more traffic for me!
I think your blog is the idea blog to emulate. you have great content, consistent posts, a strong social media presence, and a great, loyal following. Kacie was wondering in the comments how to also grow her blog and I posted some tips that you had written awhile back about branding and growing your blog. Rachel's Look Book is great1 I want to be just like that. Only cheaper lol. You're shoes addiction would bust my monthly budget!
I try to do the same, but mostly, I just WANT to post something meaningful after I've read through the post.
There's a lot to learn, that's for sure, but it's so much fun :)
ME too. I don't know what I did with my time before all this.
Awww thank you so much! I really just try to be original, post consistently and stay true to myself! I love social media, so I probably spend way too much time on there and I try to keep up with all the blogs I love, but it also takes a lot of time haha!
AND YES I KNOW :( I have a bad shoe addiction. I'm still spending significantly less than I was a month last year! So... small improvements ;) I have a lot of other goals and I already have a ton of clothes and shoes. I need to start thrifting more again!
You should! The last time I walked into Forever 21 (for some jewelry) there was a polka dot cardigan and I was like OOOOOOOOO, wait, not for $19.99. I feel cheap when I say that but I can thrift a J.Crew cardigan for $6.99 so..lo. At least you make a monthly budget and adhere to it. You get really good deals on your shoes!
YES I totally agree! And better quality that will last forever! I also LOVE finding vintage that fits me because those items are so insanely well made. Plus, I love that you feel you have something unique no one else with have :) I will live a lot closer to a Goodwill when we move in September, which I'm looking forward to! I live close to a Plato's Closet, but sometimes they way overprice things and of course there is a lot of teeny bopper clothes there haha
LOL! Platos Closet usually has decent shoes. I've been trying to branch out besides Goodwill but thrift store prices are sky rocketing and Macklemore has everyone popping tags. I was shocked I got this dress before someone else did!
LOL Macklemore sure does! I love this SHIRT: http://weknowmemes.com/2013/05/i-went-thrifting-before-macklemore-made-it-cool/ it is too funny! I love that song but only because I already loved thrifting haha
Me too. It's like my theme song now. I want him to go to Goodwill with me.
Good for you! I think it's great and good luck! Tips, choose a blog or blogs that you'll willing to invest in, but make sure that their the right fit for you and your blog. Also, try to participate in giveaways if you can. Continue to do what your doing:)
